Citrus Ice Pop

Orange Icepop
Helado ácido
English

Orange Icepop
Sharp awesomeness

Ice pop, freeze pop, popsicle, ice lolly... Make your choice. It has been awfully hot down here. I lost my appetite and avoided going out at all costs, and ended experimenting with fruits in the kitchen and freezing the results. Sometimes the answer is so easy that we overlook it!

Ingredients for 4 ice pops

4 oranges
1 lemon
1 tbsp of sugar (or to your liking, I prefer to keep the natural sharpness of the fruits)

  • Squeeze the fruits and pour the juice through a strainer (if you are a picky eater like me)
  • Add sugar
  • Pour into ice pop molds
  • Freeze for a minimum of 4 or 5 hours

And enjoy!

  3. Okay, now I'm drooling for one of these. I love oranges so this sounds delicious. And so cooling.
We are having a rainy week so a break from the heat. I think it's nearly over for the year. Yay!
    Have a great Wednesday!

    1. I love them too and that's why I sticked with this recipe. Actually I tried with other fruits but this one is a keeper. We are lucky to find affordable oranges at the market so I plan to make plenty of those next summer. :-)
So good you can call it over, here it cooled a bit meaning we no longer have dreadful 100F but still over 85F and tropical night time temperatures. Can't wait to see the autumn rain!
